Hung Over

The new movie coming out called the Hangover. This shit looks awesome, since I myself have had some crazy nights in vegas only to wake in the morning with no clue what happened. Zach Galifnakias my favorite stand-up comedian is in the movie so I know its gunna be hilarious. Check the trailers out:

HAHAHAh

I hate reality TV shows, and for the Love of Ray J is no different. Only highlight from the show was a train wreck mess of a person Danger. Her crazy antics and ridiculous face tattoo, did she ask Tyson if that was a good ideas ? Shit has been popping up about her maybe being pregnant with Ray J's kid. The look on his face is priceless when he finds out !

This Shit is gotta stop

What happens when you get a bunch of no name wack ass rappers together and ask them to rap about tats and jewels ? You got the saddest attempt to rap and actually look kool, Terry Kennedy aka TK what u doin even rappin, I thought you were just a prop in the back of videos. Plus his grill looks like he ate a fucking glitter pen. Tyga whats up with the neck tattoo, last time I checked they were reserved for hardcore bands and people with skill. Young keno, u took your name for a old persons game WTF!This wack rap has gotta stop !

A tear came to my eye

This video is so amazing words can't describe. A journey of one song through the world and back again. This just makes a warming feeling inside ya and makes you smile instantly! The cover of the classic stand by me was recorded by random artists around the world in a street studio. A base track of guitar and vocals where layed down in Santa Monica ca, by Roger Ridley. Then that track was given to a blind singer in new Orleans named grandpa Elliot which he sang and played harmonica on. From there its a rocking ride through different countries, adding along the way multiple instruments and vocals from various artists are added to the song. This was all complied from a mic and a laptop. enjoy !

Ben 7

Never been the biggest fan of Ben Harper, no real reason just never got into his work. Saw his new video the other day with this new band and man was I ever surpised. Not only does he rip on guitar and slide guitar but his new music coming out is amazing. This new band came from when Ben was recording a double disc CD, Both Sides of The Gun and invited friend guitartist Jason Mozersky to come and record. Upon invitation to continue recording the next day, Jason arrived at the studio with longtime friends, drummer Jordan Richardson and bassist Jesse Ingalls, the session spawned not only the song Serve Your Soul but also the frame work for the Relentless 7. Summer of 2008 these 4 meet again and this time focused there engery on making a cohesive sound and record. What came out is a raw ravaging sound that provides for some timeless rock jams. This record kicks ass, from the bluesy down south track Number With No Name, to the emotional escape of Up To You Know, to the folky smooth ending of Faithfully Remain. This CD has so many elements that has be be caught by numerous listenings. BUY this CD White Lies For Dark Times, you won't be sorry. Favorite tracks: shimmer and shine, boots like these, and lay there and hate me. This CD has something for everyone, peep there myspace.com/relentless& for concert dates and news. Check them out in LA at the Wiltern Theatre May 28.

He Did what

whhyyyyyyyyyy!

ANGUS AND JULIA STONE

Angus and Julia stone are on constant repeat on my ipod. The brother sister duo from Australia have been creating folky indie blues jams since 2006. Originally starting penning and performing songs at open mic nights all over there local hometown of Newport Australia. They used one another as backing vocals for performances, but compose and write their own songs. The two singers have very differently styles while Julias has a broken fractured feel, Angus's is very sweet smooth and soft. They released there debut album A Book Like This in 2007 which went gold in Australia. They have gigged everywhere from UK, Ireland, Australia and the US. These two are amazing and I enjoy their sound so much. Its a great calm chill vibe that can soothe any hardened soul. Check there eps Heart of Wine and Chocolate and Cigarettes. Favorite tracks, just a boy, mango tree, and Hollywood. myspace.com/angusandjuliastone for concert dates and new music !

New Underoath Vid

LOve UNderoath, every since pickin up and listening to They're only chasing safety. Such a explosive record with a lot of pop sense to it. With their last two latest releases: Define the great line which was much much heavier with a few ambient pieces that pushed the boundaries in metal, hardcore, screamo scenes. With Lost in The Sound of Separtaion they completely blown the walls down of being labeled as a screamo band. With songs like Emergency Broadcast :: The End Is Near ,Too Bright To See Too Loud To Hear they still have hints of there past but add a new life to there music and show their progression. Now more than ever this has become spencer chamberlains band, singing the majority of the record. There lastest video for Too Bright To See Too Loud To Hear is a amazing collage of animation and pictures, through a very dark scene that adds to the song. Check it out here

yo found some sweet pics of fat smoke outs around the US. Thanks to the dirty for the pics. Smoke ONe

Dat Kid From Cleveland

I have not really liked any of the new rappers that habe been coming out. A lot of garbage ring tone rap parading over the air waves destroying what was a respectful art form. Well when I was introduced to Kid Cudi my opinon changed. This dude is straight fire and doing stuff no one is even thinking about touching. Thanks to the blessing from Kanye, Kid has blown up recently especially with his Day N Night song all over the airwaves. Well with his new mixtape Dat Kid From Cleveland he is flexing his muscles and showing rap has much more to offer us. The dubed emo rap style that him and Kanye are doing is much more than emo-rap. Its rap with a purpose, rap with intellect and passion, Gone are the rhymes about girls, cars and bling. Instead real life problems, and emotions are the focus and give us more insight to these rappers heads. Check out his website http://www.kidcudi.com/, and myspace.com/kidcudi. Also peep and download his mixtapes at these places:

both these mixtapes are fire !

Some Pics

Did a little road trip Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, Long Beach, and took a few pics. Alos got some pics from 420 which was a blast thank u mongo the monster. Anyways enjoy more to come !

whats that measurement.. right METRIC

Metric is back and in full force. For those who don't know Metric is a 4 piece out of Toronto. The new CD Fantasies is amazing piece of work from start to finish. The opening track Blindless a mid tempo track with some Air influences, slowly builds to a danceable groove. Collect call is a beautiful song, with one of my favorite lyrics " I know its a lie but I want it to be true, the rest of the ride depends on you." The rest of the album is a fantastic work of synth groove pop indie gems that not only hipsters would love, but everyone. Other favorites are Gold, Guns, Girls which like some of the other songs has a heavier feel to it.Check also: help I'm alive, gimmie sympathy, and stadium love. This CD should be played in every ones car, house, computer its that amazing. I always make claims to CD of the year but so far this is making the strongest statement ! Also check older releases: Grow Up and Blow Away, and Old World Underground. Also check there myspace for concert dates and new tunes, myspace.com/metric

Mef and Red

I love method man and Redman. This stoner rap duo not only makes amazing music but some pretty funny movies. They were recently on shade 45 doing separate interviews, Red hitting us with a little freestyle and talking bout the upcoming method and red CD. Meth gives us some insight to the contract turmoil with Def Jam and, how he keeps it real. Check out their new song and video A YO. Look for BLackout 2 may 19th and check mef's myspace to hear some new tracks (myspace.com/methodman)

LA LA LA PAL ZOOA

So the 2009 Lollapalooza lineup has been announced and hot damn, is this the concert of the year. This blows Coachellas lineup out the water. Some of my favorites are TOOL, Coheed and Cambria, Silversun Pickups, Crystal Castles,Atomsphere, and Kings of Leon ! Man what a show and their are even more bands. Just might have to make a pilgrimage to Chicago.

AutoBots Roll Out

Just saw some new footage from Transformers 2, and gotta say very impressed ! Not only do we get some more up close action with some of the new machines, but Megan Fox changing AMAZIN!. I was a huge transformer fan when I was kid and kinda contiune to be. I was not very thrilled with what they did with the first one, but I think they made up for it big time in the sequel. Now if they include the dino bots then hot damn what a movie that will be. Transformers 2 hits theatres June 24

Lies Lies

I feel like I am spoiling you guys with all this music, but you have been good boys and girls you deserve it. White Lies, I found out bout these guys while watching one of my favorite programs Subterr. on MTV2. The trio hail from Ealing in West London, and were orginally known as Fear of Flying. Their sound is descirbed as indie-pop, or quite danceable indie. They have been compared especial to Joy divison and editors along with Arcade Fire. Some of my favorite tracks off Lose my life are death, A Place to Hide, E.S.T, and unfinished business. Check them out at there myspace.com/whitelies. EMJOY!

80s day

So we all love and hate the 80s. So I thought share some 80's music I enjoyed. Weithier its was to cheesy or over the top 80's did it with music and clothing, and o god the haircuts ! And what was with men looking like women and women looking like dudes?

Rocky Soap

So I downloaded the entourage s3 soundtrack and found this little gem, what else is there by royskopp. I was hooked I blasted that song for days. I actually went out and bought one of their CDs which is rare for me and played it literally till it broke. Royskopp is a norwegain electronic music duo made up of memebers Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge. They formed in 1998 and released their first album melody am 2001. Royskopp is a norwegain word for puffball mushroom or "smoke mushroom". They have won many awards in europe including best elecronic album for melody am, best pop group, and best music video for both remind me and eple. With there latest release they are back in full force. From the opening track Happy Up Here, it lets you know this cd is one to blast to start a all night dance parade. They defiantly explore some wider varietys of sounds on this album prior to earlier releases. Tracks like The Girl and The Robot which includes swedish singer Robyn, and This Must Be It, just beg for late night dance floors in europe or LA. This must be it actually features the knife one of my favorite Dj duos I will post about another time. The rest of the CD is a rollercoaster ride of electro that makes you feel like your right in the middle of a european dance club. Check out their ROKYSOPP Night out , which is a live concert they did in 2002. One of my favorite track is the remix of go with the flow orignally done by Queens of The Stone Age. For fans of : The Knife, Telepop Musick, Air, and Groove Armada.

Pickup Pickup

When I first heard Silversun Pickups I was confused, is that a girl singing. When I first heard lazy eye I was on the edge of hating and loving. Its when I picked up their first full length Carnavas when I was made a believer. From the first song to the last this CD is a classic. Songs like checkered floor, well thought out twinkles, and rusty wheel were pure gems. The band consists of Brian Aubert (lead vocals/guitar), Nikki Monninger (bass/vocals), Christopher Guanlao (drums), and Joe Lester (keyboards). They hail from LA's silver lake music scene home to acts rilo kiley and elliot smith. Their original name was A Couple Of Couples, before changing to Silversun Pickups. Their current name comes from a liquor and convenience store near their house at Sunset and Silver Lake Blvds in Los Angeles. They have toured with the Foo fighters, and wolfmother. There latest Swoon picks up where the band left off in Carnavas but this time with a full head of steam. The opening track Theres no secret this year charges up the guitars and blasts off with full energy. From there the band jams through soon to be hits the Royal We, Its Nice To Know You Work Alone, and the first single Panic Switch, and my favorite Sort Of. Again this cd can be enjoyed from start to finish and I highly recommneded buying not downloading, this two classic albums. In The vein of smashing pumpkins, My bloody valentine, and sonic youth.

P.S. Plus I am totally in love with the Bassist

Musica !!

Been fishing around the old pond and pulled out a winner. Closure in moscow is a band that has shown there are still bands out there pushing the boundaries. Haliling from Australia they formed in 2006 with the memebers: lead vocalist Chris De Cinque, drummer Beau McKee, guitarist and vocalist Mansur Zennelli, bassist Brad Kimber and guitarist Michael Barrett. There debut ep The Penance and The Patience which released 2008, has got them quite a frenzy following. It has helped them to tour with bands:Saosin, Coheed and Cambria, Aiden, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, A Static Lullaby. Their prog-rock expiermental style has drawn comparisons from mars volta, circa survive and chiodos. Check their myspace.com/closureinmoscow, Look for there new cd First Temple dropping may 5th.

Great Job !

Tim and Eric are the funniest muthfuckas on the planet! These guys crack me up all the time and weird me out at the same time.If you don't know who they are they have a off the wall variety sketch show on adult swim late nights. Not for everyone, their scat-brain humor and odd sketchs make for a interesting watch. Bat My lashes

Hey peoples got some new tunes well maybe new for some. One of my favorite findings in music past couple of years has been Bat for Lashes. Bat for lashes is a project from the mind of enligsh/pakistan women named Natasha Khan. Her first CD fur and gold came from a dream she had about a black horse coming to her in her dreams and taking her on a majestic journey. Her music is a cross between bjork, kate bush, pj harvey. She has toured with MIA and Radiohead. Her work is unlike any other female artists and has some real passion behind her music. Check out her latest Two Suns and the single Daniel, also fur and gold her first cd as well.
